As the sub surfaces at the Spratly Islands in the South China Seas, Gearhead and the XO have to deal with a traitor on board and an attack on their sub. Back on dry land, the XO on the submarine shows a definite interest in dating Gearhead. But, after her background secret is finally revealed, she’s immediately sent to the Middle East.
